RESOLUTION NO. R--89-/�y
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE FEES AND AUTHORIZING
ADDITIONAL POSITIONS FOR A SPECIAL HALF DAY TAMARAC
SUMMER RECREATION YOUTH PROGRAM IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE TAMARAC ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SUMMER PROGRAM; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac is
desirous of working with the Tamarac Elementary School Summer
School Program in aiding parents with children who attend
summer school to provide economically acceptable care for
their childreni and
WHEREAS, in order to do this, a Special Half Day Summer
Recreation Program will have to be implemented requiring the
addition of certain staff positions within the Recreation
Department; and
SECTION 1: That the following positions are authorized
for the Recreation Department to implement a special half day
summer recreation program:
Three (3) Recreation Leader I positions, full time at a
pay rate of $4.25 per hour, 40 hours per week for a
period not to exceed six (6) weeks. The total cost for
these positions will be $3,060.00.
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to authorize these
positions which will be subsidized by the collection of fees
to support said program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 2: That the fees for residents of the City of
Tamarac participating in the 1989 Tamarac Special Half Day
Summer Recreation Youth Program shall be $50.00 per child
with an additional $8.00 Activity Fee per child per week. ,
SECTION 3: That the fees for non-residents of the City
of Tamarac participating in the 1989 Tamarac Special Half Day
Summer Recreation Youth Program shall be $80.00 per child
with an additional $8.00 Activity Fee per child per week.

SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon adoption.
