CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-89-&./
A RESOLUTION GRANTING LIMITED WAIVER OF PARKING
REQUESTED BY CLASSIC COMMERCIAL VILLAS, INC., AT
THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF COMMERCIAL BOULEVARD AND
NORTHWEST 47 TERRACE, PETITION #13-Z-89; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Chapter 18 of the Tamarac City Code provides
that the City Council may grant a limited waiver of the off-
street parking and loading requirements whenever a hardship
would exist by adhering to strict application thereof, and
further provides that the waiver would not be detrimental to
public safety, health and welfare of the citizens of the
City; and
WHEREAS, a hardship exists at the southwest corner of
Commercial Boulevard and Northwest 47 Terrace; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a public
hearing thereon and has recommended approval of this
application; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to take action on the
limited waiver requested in the application of Classic
Commercial Villas, Inc., Petition #13-2-59.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the application by Classic Commercial
Villas, Inc., to permit the limited waiver at the southwest
corner of Commercial Boulevard and Northwest 47 Terrace, is
HEREBY APPROVED:
1) To permit a 930-foot parking isle in lieu of the
required 350-foot maximum length for the western
portion of the parcel; and

2) To allow a parking ratio of one space per 230
square feet in lieu of the required one parking
space per 200 square foot of building and
such limited waiver would not be detrimental to the
public safety, health and welfare of the citizens
of the City.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective upon
adoption.
