CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R--89-3
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATE
CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH
DREW CHEMICAL CORPORATION AS A SOLE SOURCE
RELATING TO PURCHASE OF DREW FLOC III, A
COAGULANT AID TO BE USED IN THE WATER
TREATMENT PROCESS FOR FISCAL YEAR 1989/90;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the appropriate City Officials are
hereby authorized to execute an Agreement with Drew
Chemical Corporation for the sole source purchase of Drew
Floc III, a coagulant aid to be used in the water treat-
ment process for Fiscal Year 1989/90; in the amount of
$12,650.00, a copy of said agreement being attached
hereto as "Exhibit 1".
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective
upon adoption. pp

AGREEMENT BETWEEN ORIGINAL
THE
CITY OF TAMARAC
AND
DREW CHEMICAL CORPORATION
RELATING TO THE PURCHASE
OF DREW FLOC, A COAGULANT AID
TO BE USED IN THE WATER TREATMENT PROCESS
This is an Agreement between the City of Tamarac, a
Florida municipal corporation ("City"), and Drew Chemical
Corporation, a New Jersey corporation, it's successors and
assigns.
W I T N E S S E T H:
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac has determined that it must
obtain a contract for the purchase of Coagulant Aid, to be
used as a constituent of the Water Purification Process in
the Utilities Water Treatment Plant, as hereinafter
described.
WHEREAS, the Coagulant Aid Drew Floc III has shown to
produce very high Quality Product Water and be fully
compatible with the treatment regimen and therefore be
desired as a Sole Source material for purchase by the City.
0 WHEREAS, Section 9-39 of the City of Tamarac Code of
Ordinances requires that sole source purchases in an amount
over two thousand ($2,000.00) dollars be the subject of a
formal written contract approved by the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, IN CONSIDERATION of the mutual terms and
conditions, promises, covenants and payment hereinafter set
forth "City" and Drew Chemical Corporation, agree as follows:
1. The above recitals are incorporated herein and are
made a part of this Agreement.
2. Drew Chemical Corporation agrees to provide and the
"City" to purchase an amount of Drew Floc III
Coagulant Aid estimated to be 15,812 pounds at a
rate of eighty cents $0.80 per pound as attached

part of
this agreement
hereafter. The
total
estimated
price for this
purchase is twelve thousand six hundred fifty
dollars $12,650 for the period from October 1, 1989
thru September 30, 1990.
ORIGINAL
3. The "City" and Drew Chemical Corporation agree that
the above quoted price shall i_nclucle on site
delivery of the Drew Floc III in fifty-five (55)
pound bags. Material will be ordered at the sole
discretion of the buyer (City).
IN WITNESS whereof, the parties hereto have made and
executed this Agreement on the respective dates under
each signature. The City of Tamarac signing by and
through its Mayor, authorized to execute same by City
Council action on
the �_ k"day of , 19 and the Drew Chemical
Corporation signing by and through its representative duly
authorized to execute same.
