RESOLUTION NO. R-89- ;:ice.'•=' -
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATE CITY
OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH BLANKENSHIP
AND ASSOCIATES, INC., FOR THE SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE
OF EIGHT (8) PROPELLER STYLE WATER METERS WITH
INDICATORS AND TOTALIZER; AND PROVIDING AN EFFEC-
TIVE DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the appropriate City officials are
hereby authorized to execute an Agreement with Blankenship and
Associates, Inc., for the sole source purchase of eight. (8)
propeller style water meters with indicators and totalizers,
for a total cost of $9,920.00, a copy of said agreement being
attached hereto as "Exhibit 1".
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective upon
adoption.

AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE
CITY OF TAMARAC
AND
BLANKENSHIP AND ASSOCIATES, INCORPORATED
RELATING TO THE PURCHASE
PROPELLER WATER METERS WITH
INDICATORS AND TOTALIZERS
This is an Agreement between the City of Tamarac, a
Florida municipal corporation ("City"), and Blankenship and
Associates, Incorporated, a Florida corporation, it's
successors and assigns ("Blankenship and Associates,
Incorporated").
W I T N E S S E T H:
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac has determined that it must
purchase eight (8) Propeller style meters with indicator and
totalizer, to be used in the expansion of the City Wellfield
raw water supply to meet service area needs; and
WHEREAS, the required propeller style meters must be of
a type directly replaceable with units currently installed in
other well pumps used to provide raw water and, therefore be
desired as Sole Source units for purchase by the City; and
40 WHEREAS, Section 9-39 of the City of Tamarac Code of
Ordinances requires that sole source purchases in an amount
over two thousand ($2,000.00) dollars be the subject of a
formal written contract approved by the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, IN CONSIDERATION of the mutual terms and
conditions, promises, covenants and payment hereinafter set
forth "City" and "Blankenship and Associates Incorporated,"
agree as follows:
1. That the above recitals are incorporated herein and
are made a part of this Agreement.
2. Blankenship and Associates Incorporated agrees to
provide and the "City" to purchase an amount of eight
(8) propeller style meters Model Number 04-5G-CC,
eight (8) inches in diameter each with indicator and
totalizer, as manufactured by Water Specialties at
an individual cost of one thousand two hundred and
forty ($1,240) dollars and that the aggregate price
of purchase will total: nine thousand nine hundred
and twenty ($9,920) dollars.

3. The "City" and Blankenship and Associates,
Incorporated, agree that the above quoted price shall
include on site delivery of the aforementioned meters
to the "City" Water Treatment Plant.
IN WITNESS whereof, the parties hereto have made and
executed this Agreement on the respective dates under
each signature. The City of Tamarac signing by and
through its Mayor, authorized to execute same by City
Council action on
