R-89--�249 A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE VETERANS AFFAIRS COMMITTEE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 0-88-41 created. a Veterans Affairs Committee to consist of eight (8) or more members appointed by Council to serve for one (1) year terms at the pleasure of the City Council. The membership shall contain at least one member from each of the following Veteran Organizations: 1) Disabled American Veterans (DAV) 2) American Legion 3) Jewish War Veterans of United States of America 4) Amvets WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of appointing members to the Veterans Affairs Committee. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That pursuant to Ordinance No. 0-88-41, the following are HEREBY APPOINTED as members of the Veterans Affairs Committee for terms to expire June 10, 1989: Abraham Blank -- Disabled American Veterans Kenneth J. Drown - American Legion Nora F. Gould -- Amvets Andrew A. Johnson - American Legion Solomon Kucharsky - Amvets Al Mallor - Disabled American Veterans Murray M. Schulman - Jewish War Veterans of U.S. Louis Solomon -- Jewish War Veterans of U.S. SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
