A RESOLUTION GRANTING A SPECIAL USE
4 EXCEPTION TO PERMIT THE OPERATION OF AN
ATHLETIC CLUB IN SUNFLOWER SHOPPING
5 CENTER AT 8104 AND 8196 NORTH UNIVERSITY
DRIVE REQUESTED BY SAUL STRACHMAN/
6 AMERICAN KENPO ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION;
PETITION #35-Z-89; AND PROVIDING AND
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Code of the City of Tamarac provides for the
granting of special exception to permit the operation of an
athletic club in Sunflower Shopping Center at 8104 and 8196 North
University Drive, Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a Public hearing
thereon and has recommended approval of this application; and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing has been held and the public has
been given an opportunity to express their views concerning the
application for special exception; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Tamarac finds that the
petition for special exception would be in keeping with the public
health, safety and general welfare of the City of Tamarac.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the petition for special exception to
permit the operation of an athletic club in Sunflower Shopping
Center requested by Saul Strachman/American Kenpo Athletic Asso-
ciation at 8104 and 8196 North University Drive, Petition #35-Z-89,
is HEREBY APPROVED.
SECTION 2: Conditions of approval:

SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective upon
adoption.
