RESOLUTION NO. R-89--�
A RESOLUTION AWARDING A BID FOR TAMARAC
UTILITIES WEST, PROJECT 88-54B, ASBESTOS CEMENT
WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT, MCNAB ROAD AND PINE
ISLAND ROAD (NORTHWEST 88 AVENUE), BID NO.
88-42. AND TO AUTHORIZE THE TRANSFER OF
$75,000.00 FROM WATER LINES SHAKER VILLAGE
ACCOUNT #425-364-533-6ND TO MCNAB AND PINE
ISLAND ROADS ACCOUNT #425-364-533-6NF; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, bids were advertised in the Fort Lauderdale
News/Sun Sentinel, a newspaper of general circulation in
Broward County on December 1, 1988 and December 8, 1988; and
WHEREAS, bids were opened on January 16, 1989; and
WHEREAS, Man -Con, Inc., is the lowest fully responsive
and responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the bid of Man -Con, Inc., in the amount
of $139,017.00 for Tamarac Utilities West, Project 88--54B,
Asbestos Cement Water Main Replacement, McNab Road and Pine
Island Road (Northwest 88 Avenue) and authorizing the
transfer of $75,000.00 from Water Lines Shaker Village
Account #425-364-W533--6ND to McNab and Pine Island Roads
Account #425-364--533--6NF, is HEREBY APPROVED.
SECTION 2: That the appropriate City Officials are
hereby authorized to execute any and all contract documents
necessary in connection with awarding of this bid.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon adoption. 7 �� �
