RESOLUTION NO. R-89- r1_:?_;1
A RESOLUTION GRANTING A SPECIAL USE EXCEPTION TO
PERMIT THE OPERATION OF A DRY CLEANING BUSINESS AT
5308 N.W. 22ND AVENUE, TAMARAC, REQUESTED BY GOLD
COAST FORMALWEAR, PETITION #29-Z-88; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Code of the City of Tamarac provides for
the granting of special exception to permit the operation of
a dry cleaning business at 5308 N.W. 22nd Avenue as requested
by Gold Coast Formalwear; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a public
meeting thereon and has recommended approval of this applica-
tion; and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing has been held and the public
has been given an opportunity to express their views concern-
ing the application for special exception; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Tamarac finds that
the petition for special exception would be in keeping with
the public health, safety and general welfare of the City of
Tamarac.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the petition for special exception to
permit the operation of a dry cleaning business requested by
Gold Coast Formalwear at 5308 N.W. 22nd Avenue is HEREBY
APPROVED.
SECTION 2: Conditions of approval:
1. "Gold Coast Formalwear shall be required to obtain
a permit from Broward County in accordance with the
Wellfield Protection Ordinance of Broward County
and the City of Tamarac."
2. "Gold Coast will not operate a retail dry cleaners
at the location. Gold Coast is permitted to use
the premises for a wholesale dry cleaning plant (to
wit: not open to the general public) provided there
is no drop off to or pick-up from the premises by
parties other than Gold Coast."

SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon adoption.
