CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-89-61�
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL
ELECTION FOR THE CHARTER BOARD POSITIONS FOR
DISTRICT 1 AND DISTRICT 3 AND AT -LARGE; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, a General Election was held on March 14, 1989,
wherein the positions of Charter Board District 1, for a two
year term, Charter Board District 3 and Charter Board At -
Large, for a two-year term, were to be filled; and
WHEREAS, the County Canvassing Board has canvassed the
results of the machine voting and absentee ballots and has
certified such results to the City Clerk of the City of
Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reviewed the certification
from the County Canvassing Board and has presented their
findings to the City Council for a formal Certification and
Declaration of the results.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The following are the certified results of
the votes received by candidates seeking the office of
Charter Board District 1 at the General Election held
March 14, 1989:
Morris Haber 1984
Alfred Wald 2561
Alfred Wald, having received the highest number of votes cast
for the Charter Board District 1 seat is, therefore, declared
to have been elected to that seat for a term of two (2)
years.
SECTION 2: The following are the certified results of
the votes received by candidates seeking the office of
Charter Board District 3 at the General Election' held
March 14, 1989:
Stanley Bernard 2612
Edward Klein 1980
Stanley Bernard, having received the highest number of votes
cast for the Charter Board District 3 seat is, there fore,
declared to have been elected to that seat for a term of two
(2) years.

SECTION 3: The following are the certified results of
the votes received by candidates seeking the office of
Charter Board At -Large at the General Election held
March 14, 1989:
LeRoy Browne 1256
Muriel R. Davis 2401
Melanie K. Reynolds 1051
Muriel R. Davis, having received the highest number of votes
cast for the Charter Board At Large seat is, therefore,
declared to have been elected to that seat for a term of two
(2) years.
SECTION 4: That Alfred Wald, Stanley Bernard and Muriel
R. Davis shall take office in accordance with the provisions
of Section 2-4 of the Code of Ordinances.
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon adoption.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 21st day of March, 1989.
