CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-89-_6r.22--
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL
ELECTION FOR CITY COUNCIL DISTRICTS 1 AND 3; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the General Election was held on March 14,
1989, wherein the Electorate of the City of Tamarac was to
choose one. (1) candidate for Council Representative from
District 1 and one (1) candidate for the Office of Council
Representative from District 3; and
WHEREAS, the Broward County Canvassing Board has
canvassed the results of the machine voting and the absentee
ballots and has certified such results to the City Clerk of
the City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reviewed the certification
from the County Canvassing Board and has presented her
findings to the City Council for a formal Certification and
Declaration of the Results.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: Henry Rohr, having run unopposed for the
Office of Council Representative from District 1 has been
duly elected to that position for a term of two (2) years.
SECTION 2: The following are the Certified Results of
the votes received by candidates seeking the office of
Council Representative from District 3, at the General
Election held March 14, 1989:
Bruce Hoffman 3094
Joseph Schreiber 1754
Bruce Hoffman, having received the highest number of votes
cast, is, therefore, declared to have been elected as Council
Representative from District 3 for a term of two (2) years.
SECTION 3: That Henry Rohr and Bruce Hoffman shall take
office in accordance with the provisions of Section 2-4 of
the Code of Ordinances.

SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon adoption.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 21st day of March, 1989.
