RESOLUTION NO. R-88- 10
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATE
CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE A SERVICE OF
PROCESS AGREEMENT AND HOLD HARMLESS
AGREEMENT WITH TRI-COUNTY INVESTIGATIONS,
INCORPORATED, PERTAINING TO PROCESS SERVING
FOR THE CITY OF TAMARAC; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the appropriate City officials are
hereby authorized to execute a Service of Process Agreement
and Hold Harmless Agreement with Tri-County Investigations,
Incorporated, pertaining to process serving in the City of
Tamarac, a copy of said agreement being attached hereto as
"Exhibit 1".
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective upon
adoption.

I'. AGREEMENT
i THIS AGREEMENT made this �� -z7, 1988
:between TRI COUNTY INVESTIGATIONS, INC., hereinafter known

llas PROCESS SERVER, and the CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA,

Ilhereinafter known as CITY, shall be as follows:
1. PROCESS SERVER, agrees to provide CITY, with the
following services:
A. Service of process throughout Broward County,
lFlorida.
B. Priority and Rush service of legal process when
required.

i C. Records check of Criminal History, Driver's License
i
!!History, Title Information, Name Searches, and Corporate
I;
�ilnformation.
2. PROCESS SERVER warrants that it is a State Licensed
Private Investigation Agency with a $400,000.00 Malpractice
;Insurance Coverage. In addition Investigator Maria Zuniga is
la licensed Private Investigator and has been appointed a
Special Process Server by Sheriff Nick Navarro. The Agency
;is conveniently located in Suite 402 of the National City
(Bank Centre, 1401 University Drive, Coral Springs, Florida
,33071. PROCESS SERVER'S phone number is 752-5411.
3. In consideration of the foregoing, CITY, agrees to
1Ipay the following for said services:
i! A. Service anywhere in Tamarac during daytime - $7.50
per service.
B. Service elsewhere in Broward County during daytime -
$10.00 per service.
C. Service in Tamarac after 6 P.M. - S10.00 per

iservice.

D. Service elsewhere in Broward County after 6 P.M.
��$12-00 per service.
E. RUSH service service required on same day as order

lishall require an additional $10.00 charge over normal rates.
F. SECOND ADDRESS - When PROCESS SERVER must serve

(subject by going to a second address a surcharge of $5.00
shall be added to normal service rates.
�I WHEREFORE, PROCESS SERVER and CITY have affixed their

HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT
This Agreement entered into on the ,Z7^ day of 1988 is
made by and between the City of Tamarac, a municipal corporation, hereinafter
"CITY", and Tri County Investigations, Inc., hereinafter known as Tri-County.
W I T N E S S E T H:
SECTION I : That Tri-County shall hold CITY harmless from any and all
claims, causes of action, damages, cost, expenses and attorney fees which
the CITY shall suffer by virtue of the defense of, or response to, any
claim being made against it in connection with the actions of Tri-County,
or any act or omission of Tri-Cotinty, its agents, employees, members, or
the general public in connection therewith.
SECTION 2 : The above provisions shall survive the termination of this
Agreement and shall pertain to any occurrence during the term of this
Agreement, even though the claim may be made after the termination hereof.
SECTION 3 : Tri-County shall provide to the City Risk Manager all
necessary Certificates of Insurance in such form and amounts as required
by the Risk Manager.
SECTION 4 : Tri-County shall keep such policies of insurance in full
force and effect during the term of this Agreement and shall provide to
the CITY proof of payment of the required premiums.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have hereunto set their hands and seals
on the day and year first above written.
