CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO, R-8811-2-1

A RESOLUTION GRANTING A WAIVER TO THE SIGN
ORDINANCE REQUESTED BY WELLENS FURNITURE
COMPANY FOR A WALL SIGN WHICH IS LESS THAN
THE REQUIRED 50-FEET FROM THE ADJACENT
PROPERTY LINE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, on April 20, 1988, the Planning Commission
voted to deny approval of a wall sign at 3803 W. Commercial
Boulevard since the proposed sign was in contravention of
Section 21 7 (1) (b) of the City of Tamarac Code; and
WHEREAS, Wellens Furniture Company has requested a
waiver from the provision of the sign Code pursuant to
Section 21-12 of the Tamarac City Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the waiver to the sign ordinance
requested by Wellens Furniture Company for a wall sign which
is less than the required 50-feet from the adjacent property
line, located at 3803 West Commercial Boulevard, Tamarac, is
HEREBY APPROVED.
SECTION 2: Conditions of approval:
An agreement will be incorporated into approval of the sign
waiver so that, in the future, if the adjacent parcel is
developed Wellens Furniture or its successors and assigns
would have to return to the City Council for another sign
waiver approval. This agreement will be recorded in the
public records of Broward County.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective upon
adoption.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this day of
1988.
