CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-88
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATE
CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT
WITH THE CITY OF TAMARAC AND AUGMENTED
COMPUTER TECHNOLOGIES, INCORPORATED, FOR
THE PURCHASE OF A CASH REGISTER SYSTEM:
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the appropriate City officials are
hereby authorized to execute an Agreement with Augmented
Computer Technologies, Incorporated, for the purchase of a
cash register system as a sole source item in the amount of
$5,921.00, a copy of said agreement being attached hereto as
"Exhibit 1".
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective upon
adoption.

AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE
CITY OF TAMARAC
AND
AUGMENTED COMPUTER TECHNOLOGIES,INC.
RELATING TO THE PURCHASE
OF A CASH REGISTER SYSTEM
This is an agreement between the City of Tamarac, a
11P Florida municipal corporation ("City"), and Augmented Com-
puter Technologies, Inc., 7881-6 Pines Blvd. Pembroke Pines,
its successors and assigns ("Augmented Computer Technologies,
Inc.")
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac has determined that it must
replace the existing cash register system in the Customer
Service Department by purchasing
1 Advanced POS System with 8 position switch
cables for: CRT, Cash drawer, validator.
1 Second Cash Drawer and cable.
• 2 80 Column Fujitsu Printer Serial.
2 Printer to POS Cable.
1 Validator, slip document printer 27 column.
1 Installation at Utilities
3 Training and Modifications as listed on
attached sheet.
WHEREAS, the required cash register system must be
compatible with the existing computer system used by the
Finance Department, and therefore, the purchase of these
devices is a sole source purchase; and
WHEREAS, Section 9--39 of the City of Tamarac Code of
Ordinances requires that sole source purchases in an amount
over two thousand ($2,000.00) dollars be the subject of a
formal written contract approved by the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, IN THE CONSIDERATION of the mutual terms
and conditions promises, convenants and payment hereinafter
set forth City and Augmented Computer Technologies, Inc.
agree as follows:
1. The above recitals are incorporated herein and are
made a part of this Agreement.
2. Augmented Computer Technologies, Inc. agrees to
provide and the City agrees to purchase
1 Advanced POS System with 8 position switch
cables for: CRT, Cash Drawer, validator..... 1,395.00
1 Second Cash Drawer and cable ................ 504.00
2 80 Column Fujitsu Printer Serial ea @ $481,. 962.00
2 Printer to POS Cable @ 45................... 90.00
1 Validator, slip document
printer 27 column ........................... 1,595.00
1 Installation at Utilities ................... 175.00
3 Training and Modifications as listed
on attached sheet ........................... 1,200.00
IN WITNESS whereof, the parties hereto have made and
executed this Agreement on the repective dates under each
signature,
The City of Tamarac signing by and through its Mayor, author-
ized to execute same by City Council action on the 9th day of
March, 1988, and Augmented Computer Technologies, Inc.
signing by and through its Regional Manager, duly authorized
to execute same.
