R-88-1_-y� -� ---� A RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO PURCHASE ADDITIONAL CAPACITY OF 0.9 MILLION GALLONS PER DAY TREATMENT CAPACITY AND 2.9 MILLION GALLONS PER DAY TRANSMISSION CAPACITY; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR REPEALER; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Broward County Utilities has requested that the City of Tamarac prepare a Resolution of Intent to purchase an additional 0.9 million gallons per day of wastewater treatment capacity and 2.9 million gallons per day of transmission capacity; and WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac wishes to purchase the preceeding additional treatment and transmission capacity in lieu of leasing to obtain credit towards Broward County's Square -One Debt Service costs; and WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac desires that Broward County reassign 0.6 million gallons per day treatment and trans- mission capacity to Coral Springs being relinquished by the City of Tamarac. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1 The City of Tamarac hereby expresses its intent to enter into the necessary Agreements to purchase additional capacity of 0.9 million gallons per day of treat- ment capacity and 2.9 million gallons per day of transmission capacity. SECTION 2 : The City of Tamarac intends to pay the required Square -One Debt Service Costs for the capacities as follows: Treatment Debt Service 0.9 mgd Transmission Debt Service 2.9 mgd $ 231,436 500,536 351 TOTAL SQUARE -ONE DEBT SERVICE $ 731,972 COSTS FROM FEBRUARY 1, 1988 Temp. Reso. #4904 Revised 1/13/88 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 M 011 10 11 12 13 WE 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 SECTION 3 This Resolution is a Resolution of Intent only and the City hereby recognizes that it shall not be bound by the statements contained herein until the City has considered and executed the appropriate contracts, covenants and documentation necessary to effectuate the intent ex- pressed herein. SECTION 4 : If any provision of this Resolution or the application thereof to any person or circumstances is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of this Resolution that can be given affect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions of this Resolution are declared to be severable.
