CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-88-9�$
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC
ACKNOWLEDGING THE ANNEXATION BY THE FLORIDA
LEGISLATURE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY ON JUNE
17., 1988 WHICH ANNEXATION -EXTENDS AND
ENLARGES THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC TO INCLUDE SPECIFIED UNINCORPORATED
LANDS WITHIN SAID CORPORATE LIMITS; PROVIDING
THAT THE LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF THE CITY IS
HEREBY EXTENDED AND ENLARGED SO AS TO INCLUDE
WITHIN ITS CORPORATE LIMITS, PORTIONS OF
SECTION 11, TOWNSHIP 49 SOUTH, RANGE 41 EAST,
MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "A";
PROVIDING FOR THE CITY ENGINEER TO AMEND AND
CERTIFY THE OFFICIAL CITY MAP; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac submitted to the Florida
Legislature a bill entitled "An Act to Extend and Enlarge the
Corporate Limits of the City of Tamarac" to include specified
unincorporated lands within portions of Section 11, Township
49 South, Range 41 East as shown and described in the
attached Exhibit "A"; and
WHEREAS, during the 1988 session the Leglislature of the
State of Florida reviewed and approved the City of Tamarac's
proposed annexation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1 That the City Council hereby acknowledges
that the corporate limits of the City of Tamarac have been
extended and enlarged to include in addition to the territory
presently within its corporate limits, portions of Section
11, Township 49 South, Range 41 East, as shown and described
on Exhibit "A";
SECTION 2 : The City Engineer is hereby directed
to
Temp. Reso. #5125
amend the official map of the City to include those
territories as shown and described on Exhibit "A".
SECTION 3 : This Resolution shall become effective
immediatley upon its passage.

The present corporate limits of the City of Tamarac,
Broward County, Florida, are hereby extended and enlarged so
as to include, In addition to the territory presently within
Its corporate limits, portions of Section 11, Township 49
South, Range 41 East, Broward County, Florida, being more
particularly described as follows:
PARCEL NO. 1
Parcel "A" of "Banyan Lakes", as recorded in Platbook
102, page 18 of the Public Records of Broward County; Shaker -
wood Village Condo Bldg. B thru F, unplatted; Villas at
Woodland Green as recorded In Platbook 100, Page 27 of the
Public Records of Broward County; Woodland Meadows, unplatted
as recorded in Book 4, Page 31 of Broward County; more
commonly desribed as a parcel of land located at the south-
east corner of Bailey Road, and NW 61st Avenue.
TOGETHER WITH:
PARCEL NO. 2
"Woodland Greens", as recorded in Platbook 88, Page 17
of the Public Records of Broward County; more commonly
described as a parcel of land located on the north side of
Commercial Boulevard, between NW 58th Way and NW 57th Way.
TOGETHER WITH:
PARCEL NO. 3
"Comrock", as recorded In Platbook 95, Page 47 of the
IS Public Records of Broward County, and; "Comrock 1st Addition"
as recorded in Platbook 102, Page 34 of the Public Records of
Broward County, and; "The Villas at the Gate", as recorded In
Platbook 104, Page 6 of the Public Records of Broward County,
and; "Villas at the Gate" Condo Phases 1, 2, 3, 4, and;
"Woodglen Condo" and; "The Gate" One Condo, Two Condo, and
Three Condo,. and; "Woodland Lake Estates" as recorded in
Platbook 116, Page 50 of the Public Records of Broward
County, more commonly described as land located at the
Southwest corner of Bailey Road and Rock Island Road;
a portion of Tract 9, Section 11, Township 49 South, Range 41
East, Ft. Lauderdale Truck Farms, as recorded in Platbook 4
Page 31.
SECTION 2. Nothing In this chapter shall be construed to
affect or abrogate the rights of parties to any contracts,
whether the same be between Broward County and a third party
or between non -governmental entities, which contracts are In
effect prior to the effective date of annexation.
Section 3. This act shall take effect upon becoming a
law.
