CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION GRANTING A LIMITED WAIVER OF PARKING
REQUESTED BY STATE FARM SERVICE CENTER AT A PRO-
POSED STATE FARM SERVICE CENTER ON THE NORTH SIDE
OF MCNAB ROAD BETWEEN N.W. 80 AVENUE AND N.W. 84
TERRACE WHICH IS ZONED B-6 (BUSINESS DISTRICT) ,
PETITION #2-Z-88; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, Chapter 18 of the Tamarac city Code provides
that the City Council may grant a limited waiver of the off-
street parking and loading requirements whenever a hardship
would exist by adhereing to strict application thereof, and
further provides that the waiver would not be detrimental to
public safety, health and welfare of the citizens of the
City; and
WHEREAS, a hardship exists at the north side of McNab
Road between N.W. 80 Avenue and N.W. 84. Terrace, which is
zoned B-6 (Business District) and is the site of a proposed
State Farm Service Center; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a public
hearing thereon and has recommended denial of this applica-
tion; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to take action on the
limited waiver requested in the application of State Farm
Service Center, Petition #2-Z--88.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the application by State Farm Service
Center to waive the requirements of Section 18-3 (1) (d) to
allow ninety (90) degree parking at a proposed State Farm
Service Center on the north side of McNab Road between N.W.
80 Avenue and N.W. 84 Terrace is HEREBY APPROVED, and such
limited waiver would not be detri mental to the public
safety, health and welfare of the citizens of the City.
