CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-87- 1,30
A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION #R-86-376
PERTAINING TO COUNCIL RULES AND PROCEDURES;
AMENDING SECTION (B)(1)(b) OF THE RULES AND
PROCEDURES OF THE CITY COUNCIL BY PROVIDING
FOR THE ADOPTION OF EMERGENCY ORDINANCES
PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 166 FLORIDA STATUTES;
PROVIDING FOR A REPEALER; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of Tamarac provides
that the City Council shall determine its own rules and order
of business.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Section (B)(1)(b) of the Rules and
Procedures for the City Council as established by Resolution
#R-86-376 is hereby amended to read as follows:
(B)(1). Voting procedures.
(b) . An affirmative vote of three (3) members
shall be necessary to enact any Ordinance
or adopt any Resolution. A motion shall
pass by an affirmative vote of a majority
of a quorum. Emergency ordinances may be
adopted by the City__Council pursuant to
Section 166.041(3)(b) Florida Statutes, or
its successor.
SECTION 2: That all other Resolutions or parts of
Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the
extent of such conflict.

SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its passage.
