RESOLUTION NO. R- 87 - / 7/
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A $900 CASH DONATION
FROM MICKEY AND SHIRLEY BLUMFIELD FOR THE
BEAUTIFICATION OF THE ENTRANCE TO THE CITY OF
TAMARAC LOCATED AT PINE ISLAND ROAD AND
COMMERCIAL BOULEVARD; ACKNOWLEDGING ON BEHALF
OF THE ENTIRE CITY THE CITY COUNCIL'S APPRE-
CIATION FOR THE DONATION: AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, beautiful and well landscaped entranceways to
the City of Tamarac are vitally important to the aesthetic
and economic reputation of the City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, Mickey and Shirley Blumfield have generously
offered to donate $900 for a beautification project at Pine
Island Road and Commercial Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, the Blumfields' generosity is greatly appre-
ciated and admired.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That a donation in the amount of $900 from
Mickey and Shirley Blumfield for the beautification of the
entranceway to the City of Tamarac at Pane Island Road and
Commercial Boulevard is hereby accepted.
SECTION 2: That the appropriate city officials are
hereby directed to accept the donation and ensure that the
funds are to be applied towards the above referenced beauti-
fication project, and deposited -in the appropriate account.
SECTION 3: That on behalf of all residents of the City.
of Tamarac the City Council hereby wishes to express its deep
appreciation and admiration for the Blumfields' generosity
and devotion to the City of Tamarac.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its passage.
