CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-87-Z7
A RESOLUTION ENCOURAGING BROWARD COUNTY TO INSTALL
IN THE CITY OF TAMARAC BUS SHELTERS AT LOCATIONS
ALREADY APPROVED BY BROWARD COUNTY MASS TRANSIT ON
RIGHT-OF-WAY AREAS WITHIN THE CITY OF TAMARAC; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the residents of the City of Tamarac, Florida wish to have the
bus shelters when inclement weather occurs; and
WHEREAS, the staff of the City of Tamarac recommends approval of the bus
shelter concept; and
+ WHEREAS, the concept has been supported by the Planning Commission of the
City of Tamarac, Florida.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC,

SECTION 1: That the City Council recognizes the need to have bus shelters
installed in the City of Tamarac, Florida in accordance with the South Florida Building
Code and other regulatory agencies.
SECTION 2: That the Company known as Public Advertising,Inc. will supply
the bus shelters at no cost to the City of Tamarac.
SECTION 3: That the Company known as Public Advertising, Inc. will supply
the City of Tamarac with a hold harmless letter in the event any claims for damages or
injuries against the City are filed in connection with said bus shelters.
SECTION 4: That the bus shelters are to be installed, where possible,
where electric service will be provided for the shelters.
SECTION 5: That there will be advertising permitted on one side only of
the bus shelters as shown in attached Exhibit "A".
SECTION 6: That the bus shelters shall not be approved unless, or until,
the official signature has been obtained by Broward County Mass Transit approving the
bus shelter locations.
SECTION 7: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
passage.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 2 7 day of 1987•
