CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-87-c�;?_C'3
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE
CONSTRUCTION OF A SIDEWALK ON THE SOUTH SIDE
OF SOUTHGATE BOULEVARD BETWEEN 91st TERRACE
AND 93rd AVENUE; RECOGNIZING THE NEED FOR A
SIDEWALK IN ORDER TO PROTECT THE PUBLIC
HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELFARE; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 23-24 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Tamarac as recently amended by the
City Council of the City of Tamarac, the appropriate staff
has determined that there is a public need for a sidewalk on
the south side of Southgate Boulevard between 91st Terrace
and 93rd Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the construction of the above cited sidewalk is
on a dedicated right-of-way; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager, City Engineer, Public Works
Director and City Planner have approved and authorized the
construction thereof; and
WHEREAS, the cost of the construction of the sidewalk is
to be derived from an established sidewalk construction
account; and
WHEREAS, the construction of the sidewalk does not
require any additional budget transfers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL -OF
THE; CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That pursuant to Section 23-24 of the Code
of Ordinances of the City of Tamarac, as recently amended,
and in determining that there is a public need for the
sidewalk, the Department of Public Works shall construct a
sidewalk more particularly described in Exhibit "A", attached
hereto and made a part hereof.
SECTION 2: That the sidewalk shall be constructed on
the south side of Southgate Boulevard between 91st Terrace
and 93rd Avenue, more particularly described in Exhibit "B",
attached hereto and made a part hereof.

SECTION 3:
That the cost of the construction of the
sidewalk shall be derived from the appropriate sidewalk
account.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its passage.

EXHIBIT A: Description Technical Specification:
Tamarac Department of Public Works will provide ,
materials and labor required to install a concrete
sidewalk in a section of the right of way on the
South side of Southgate Boulevard.
Work to consist of relocating one existing fire
hydrant, excavation and preparation and the in-
stallation of a 4" thick by 5' wide, by approx-
imately 700 linear ft of transit mix concrete,
having a minimum of 28 day compressive strength
of 2,500 PSI.
All work will be in accordance with County and
City of Tamarac standards specifications, Tamarac
City Code Section 24-20 Sidewalks.

The proposed sidewalk will be installed in a
section on the South_ side of Southgate Boulevard,
_. approximately 700 linear feet from N. W. 91st
Terrace to N. W. 94th Ave. in Westwood Community
S, Block 330, from Lot 1 thru Lot 11.
