R-87-c�;?_C'3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SIDEWALK ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF SOUTHGATE BOULEVARD BETWEEN 91st TERRACE AND 93rd AVENUE; RECOGNIZING THE NEED FOR A SIDEWALK IN ORDER TO PROTECT THE PUBLIC HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELFARE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 23-24 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Tamarac as recently amended by the City Council of the City of Tamarac, the appropriate staff has determined that there is a public need for a sidewalk on the south side of Southgate Boulevard between 91st Terrace and 93rd Avenue; and WHEREAS, the construction of the above cited sidewalk is on a dedicated right-of-way; and WHEREAS, the City Manager, City Engineer, Public Works Director and City Planner have approved and authorized the construction thereof; and WHEREAS, the cost of the construction of the sidewalk is to be derived from an established sidewalk construction account; and WHEREAS, the construction of the sidewalk does not require any additional budget transfers. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL -OF THE; CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That pursuant to Section 23-24 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Tamarac, as recently amended, and in determining that there is a public need for the sidewalk, the Department of Public Works shall construct a sidewalk more particularly described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and made a part hereof. SECTION 2: That the sidewalk shall be constructed on the south side of Southgate Boulevard between 91st Terrace and 93rd Avenue, more particularly described in Exhibit "B", attached hereto and made a part hereof. 1' 2 3' 4 7 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 �I 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 '6 27 28 9 31 32 33 34 35 SECTION 3: That the cost of the construction of the sidewalk shall be derived from the appropriate sidewalk account. Work to consist of relocating one existing fire hydrant, excavation and preparation and the in- stallation of a 4" thick by 5' wide, by approx- imately 700 linear ft of transit mix concrete, having a minimum of 28 day compressive strength of 2,500 PSI. All work will be in accordance with County and City of Tamarac standards specifications, Tamarac City Code Section 24-20 Sidewalks.
