A RESOLUTION REPEALING RESOLUTION NUMBER
R-87-153 PERTAINING TO THE ISSUANCE OF A
SURETY BOND FOR TRAFFIC SIGNALIZATION AT THE
7 PROPOSED TAMARAC MUNICIPAL COMPLEX; PROVIDING
FOR THE APPROPRIATE STAFF TO ISSUE A
CERTIFIED CHECK IN THE AMOUNT OF $20,000 TO
BROWARD COUNTY FOR TRAFFIC SIGNALIZATION AT
THE PROPOSED TAMARAC MUNICIPAL COMPLEX; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

WHEREAS, the City Council on May 13th, 1987 approved
Resolution No. R-87-153 which authorized the issuance of a
surety bond in the amount of Twenty Thousand Dollars
($20,000) for traffic signalization at the proposed Tamarac
Municipal Complex; and
WHEREAS, staff now recommends that said Resolution be
repealed in order that the City of Tamarac can submit a
certified check in lieu of the surety bond as allowed by the
Agreement between the City of Tamarac and Broward County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:'
SECTION 1 : That Resolution No. R-87-153 adopted by the
City Council. on May 13, 1987 is hereby repealed in its
entirety.
SECTION 2 : That the City of Tamarac recognizes the
need for the installation of the traffic signal at the
proposed Tamarac Municipal Complex.
SECTION 3 : That a certified check in the amount of
Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000) is necessary to be filed to
the application to the Florida Department of Transportation
Broward County, Florida for the installation of the traffic
signal.

SECTION 4 : This resolution is for the specific purpose
of authorizing the issuance of a certified check as set forth
above.
SECTION 5 :
This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its passage.
