CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-87-285
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FIRE CHIEF TO
APPROVE OPEN PIT BURNING IN LAND SECTION 71
PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE 0-87-41 ; AND PROVIDING
AN-EFFECTIME DATE,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac adopted
Ordinance 0-87-41 on August 26, 1987, after holding a public
hearing pursuant to Chapter 166, Florida Statutes, to provide
for open pit burning in Land Section 7 with the appropriate
approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTIQN 1: That the City Council of the City of Tamarac
hereby authorizes the Fire Chief to approve open pit burning
in Land Section 7 as requested by the Director of Utilities/
Engineering.
SECTIQN 2: That all local, County and State Codes are to
be strictly complied with and all necessary permits obtained.
SECTION 3: That open pit burning is only authorized in
the area of the City of Tamarac known as Land Section 7 and
shall not be permitted within five hundred (500) feet of any
road or structure.
SECTION 4_ That open pit burning shall be monitored on a
daily basis by a Fire Inspector, shall not be ignited prior
to 8:00 A.M. and extinguished no later than one hour before
sundown and conducted only under favorable wind conditions.
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall be effective
immediately upon adoption.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 6 day of August, 1987.
