RESOLUTION NO. R-87- 397
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC APPOINT-
ING AS CONSULTING ATTORNEYS THE LAW FIRM OF
MORGAN, LEWIS AND BOCKIUS TO PREPARE AN
OFFICIAL ANALYSIS OF THE CITY'S POSITION IN
THE PENDING LITIGATION OF IN RE: COMARK;
PROVIDING THAT MORGAN, LEWIS AND BOCKIUS
SHALL PREPARE THE SUBJECT OFFICIAL ANALYSIS
FOR A SUM NOT TO EXCEED SEVEN THOUSAND FIVE
HUNDRED ($7,500) DOLLARS; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac has
determined that it is in the public interest that an official
analysis be prepared to examine the City's rights in the
pending litigation of In Re: Comark; and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has recommended that the Law
Firm of Morgan, Lewis and Bockius be retained as consulting
attorneys to perform the official analysis and recommend to
the City the best course of action to pursue in said
litigation -
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1 : That the City Council hereby appoints as
special consulting attorneys the law firm of Morgan, Lewis
and Bockius, 3200 Miami Center, 100 Chopin Plaza, Miami,
Florida 33131, to perform an official analysis of the City's
rights in the pending litigation of In Re: Comark The
analysis shall be prepared for a sum not to exceed Seven
Thousand Five Hundred ($7,500) Dollars and shall include both
a detailed legal analysis of the City's rights under the
lawsuit and a recommendation to the City on the proper course
of action to pursue in the subject litigation.

SECTION 2 That compensation for the consulting
services of Morgan, Lewis and Bockius shall be derived from
the City's Contingency General Fund Account.
SECTION 3 : This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its passage.
