CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-87-__�_0
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE
CONSTRUCTION OF A SIDEWALK ADDITION NEAR THE
SANDS POINT CONDOMINIUM; RECOGNIZING THE NEED
FOR A SIDEWALK ADDITION IN ORDER TO PROTECT
THE PUBLIC HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELFARE; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, a portion of the north side of Lagos De Campo
Boulevard does not have an existing sidewalk; and
WHEREAS, said area is used by numerous pedestrians and
bikers; and
WHEREAS, the Sands Point Condominium has secured the
cost of material to construct said sidewalk; and
WHEREAS, it shall be the responsibility of the Sands
Point Condominium to maintain said sidewalk pursuant to
Chapter 23 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Tamarac;
and
WHEREAS, the Departments of Public Works and Engineering
shall ensure that the City has obtained all necessary ease-
ments before constructing said sidewalk; and
WHEREAS, the appropriate officials of the City of
Tamarac have determined that the sidewalk addition is
required.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That due to the dangerous condition now
existing, the Department of Public Works shall construct a
sidewalk, more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and made a part hereof.
SECTION 2: That the sidewalk shall be constructed on
the north side of Lagos De Campo Boulevard, said location
more particularly described in Exhibit "B" attached hereto
and made a part hereof.
SECTION 3: That the Sands Point Condominium shall
maintain said sidewalk pursuant to Chapter 23 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Tamarac.

SECTION 4: That the Department of Public Works shall
not construct the above described sidewalk prior to obtaining

reimbursement for cost and receiving all necessary easements.
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its passage.

Exhibit A - Technical Specifications
Is The Tamarac Department of Public Works will provide materials
and labor required to install an asphaltic concrete pathway
in a section of the easement on Lagos De Campos Blvd.
Work to consist of excavation and removal of excess fill. In-
stallation of a lime rock base to be compacted and bonded to a
4" average thickness. Surface new area with Hot Plant Mix
Asphalt rolled to 1" average thickness. The dimensions of the
pathway are to be approximately 554 linear feet, and 5 linear
feet wide. All work to be performed in accordance with County
and City of Tamarac Standards.
