CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-87---/_13
A RESOLUTION SELECTING NORTH AMERICAN LIFE
ASSURANCE COMPANY AS THE CARRIER FOR THE CITY
OF TAMARAC'S LONG-TERM DISABILITY INSURANCE;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 112.08, Florida Statutes,
the City sought competitive bids for Long -Term Disability
Insurance; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 112.08, Florida Statutes,
the City entered into simultaneous negotiations with
companies who had submitted bids; and
WHEREAS, the City administration has determined that
North American Life Assurance Company is most qualified and
capable of meeting all service requirements; and
WHEREAS, the bids (Bid No. 87-3) were advertised in the
Fort Lauderdale/Sun Sentinel, a newspaper of general circula-
tion in Broward County, on February 6, 1987 and February 13,
19 87 .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That North American Life Assurance Company
is hereby awarded a right to provide Long -Term Disability
Insurance to the City of Tamarac as more particularly set
forth in Exhibit "A".
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its passage.
