R-87-� A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATE CITY OFFICIALS TO EXE- CUTE A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF TAMARAC AND LEIGH ROBINSON KERR & ASSO., INC., PERTAINING TO THE TAMARAC COMPRE- HENSIVE PLAN; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: ` SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Tamarac hereby approves a contract between the City of Tamarac and Leigh Robinson Kerr & Asso., Inc., in the amount of $4,000.00 to develop an updated housing element for the City of Tamarac Comprehensive Plan in compliance with Rule 9J-5, Florida Department of Community Affairs and the Local Government Comprehensive Planning Act, attached hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit "A"; and SECTION_ 2: That the appropriate City Officials are hereby authorized to execute said contract. We propose to develop an updated housing element for the City of Tamarac Comprehensive Plan. This work will be done in compliance with Rule 9J--5 Florida Department of Community Affairs and the Local Government Comprehensive Planning Act. SCOPE OF SERVICES PART I - HOUSING ELEMENT DATA REQUIREMENTS Utilizing as a base the existing inventories of the City, we will provide updates which will outline renter occupied housing developments with subsidies; inventory group homes; inventory of existing mobile home parks; inventory of historically significant housing and inventory of housing construction activities. PART II - HOUSING ANALYSIS REQUIREMENTS This analysis will include a projection of the anticipated number of households; the housing needs of the anticipated population; land requirements; portion met by the private sector, provision of low and moderate income housing; elimination of substandard housing conditions; provision of sites for housing for low and moderate income families and mobile homes; group home and foster care facility sites; and historically significant housing. 808 East Las Olas Boulevard Suite 104 Ft.Lauderdale, Florida 33301 13051 467-6308 A, :' r 1, « ] -- e50 Cz U A is • 0 CITY OF TAMARAC CONSULTANT SERVICES CONTRACT February 17, 1987 Page Two PART III - HOUSING GOALS OWECTIVES AND POLICIES Provision of the goals both long and short term which will support the housing programs and needs of the community in accordance with the Local Government Comprehensive Plan Act. 1. Upon completion of Part I $1,300 2. Upon completion of Part II $1,800 3. Upon completion of Part III 1 900 TOTAL: $4,000 The entire contract will not exceed $4,000. This will include the printing of ten (10) copies of the completed document. We thank you for the opportunity to present this proposal and look forward to working with the City in developing a Housing Element in compliance with State Standards.
