CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-87-_a
A RESOLUTION ALLOWING THE CITY PLANNER TO
SUBMIT TO THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANS-
PORTATION A REQUEST FOR A PERMIT TO RECON-
STRUCT AND RESURFACE THE NORTHERN DRIVEWAY AT
THE CITY RECREATION PARK ON UNIVERSITY DRIVE;
PROVIDING FOR A PROPER DECELERATION LANE AS
PER SPECIFICATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac has studied the necessity
of widening the entrance to the Tamarac Recreation City Park
at University Drive,, and
WHEREAS, City Staff has determined that a hazard exists,
which could cause harm to the public which utilizes the park
if said driveway remains as is, and
WHEREAS, the City Planner has requested approval from
the Department of Transportation and said approval has been
granted for reconstruction and resurfacing of the driveway,
and
WHEREAS, the Department of Transportation has informed
the City Planner that prior to a permit being issued, the
City Council, by resolution, must give authorization for the
City Planner to sign for all required permits.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the City Planner is hereby authorized
to sign for Department of Transportation permits with regard
to the reconstruction and resurfacing of the driveway in the
City Recreation Park on University Drive.

SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its passage.
