RESOLUTION NO. R--86-17—v
A RESOLUTION REPEALING RESOLUTION R-85-369;
PROVIDING THAT THE CITY MANAGER MAY TRANSFER
FUNDS WITHIN A DEPARTMENT, AS IS PERMITTED
BY LAW, WITHOUT THE APPROVAL OF THE CITY
N A D P N A F T V E
WHEREAS, Section 7.10(d) of the Tamarac City Charter
provides that the City Manager may transfer funds *ithin a
department, and with the approval of the Council, may trans-
fer funds between departments; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is no longer
necessary or desirable for the Council to be notified of
intra-departmental fund transfers by the City Manager prior
to such transfers being made.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Resolution No. R-85-369, a copy of
which is attached as Exhibit "A", and incorporated by refer-
ence herein, is hereby repealed.
That the City Manager is expressly author-
ized pursuant to Charter Section 7.10(d) to make intra-
departmental transfers of funds without prior notice to, or
approval of, the City Council.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon passage.

A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A PROCEDURE FOR
NOTIFICATION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF ANY
INTRA-DEPARTMENTAL TRANSFER OF FUNDS; AND
PROYIDINQ
WHEREAS, Section 7.10(d) of the Tamarac City Charter
provides that the City Manager may transfer funds within a
department, and with the approval of the councilp may trans-
fer funds between departments; and
WHEREASr the City Council desires to be notified of
intra-departmental fund transfers prior to such transfers in
order to be better informed of the City's financial con-
dition.
