CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-86-- zz.7
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE CITY COUNCIL'S
DESIRE TO HAVE ALL STREET LIGHTING RESTORED
TO COUNTY ROADS WITHIN THE CITY OF TAMARAC
; REQUESTING THAT THE COUNTY IMMEDIATELY
COMPLY WITH THE CITY'S WISHES BY ASSURING
THAT ALL STREET LIGHTS WITHIN THE CITY,
LOCATED ON COUNTY ROADS, ARE FITTED WITH
PROPER FIXTURES AND ARE OPERATING DURING !`
PERIODS OF DARKNESS; PROVIDING FOR SEVER- _
ABILITY; PROVIDING CONFLICTING RESOLUTIONS

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac has
determined that there is a danger to the health safety and
welfare of Tamarac Residents caused by the failure to have
sufficient street lighting upon County roads; and
WHEREAS, the failure to provide such street lighting is
not aesthetically pleasing; and
WHEREAS, the County over the past several years has
carried out a policy of only lighting every other street
light on County roads in an attempt to save money.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTIQN 1: That the City Council hereby expresses its
desire to have the County immediately reinstate full street
lighting upon County roads within the City of Tamarac and to
equip all street lights with working fixtures.
SECTION 2: Should any section or provision of this
Resolution or any portion thereof, or any paragraph, sentence
or word be declared by a Court of competent jurisdiction to
be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of
the remainder hereof as whole or any part hereof, other than
the part declared to be invalid.
SECTION 3: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.

SECTIONA: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.
