A RESOLUTION AWARDING A BID FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF WATER TREATMENT
PLANT IMPROVEMENTS -FILTER
REHABILITATION -PROJECT #85-27

WHEREAS, The City Council authorized the Administration
to go to bid at its meeting on May 14 , 1986, and
WHEREAS, bids were advertised in the Fort Lauderdale News
a newspaper of general circulation in Broward County on May 24
and^ May 31 .� —, 1986, and
WHEREAS, bids were opened on June 4 , 1986, and
WHEREAS, C.E.M Enterprises, Inc. dba Sunshine Painting
is the lowest fully responsive and responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the bid of C.E.M. Enterprises, Inc.
dba Sunshine Painting in the amount of-$66,666.00, is hereby approved
with the breakdown that follows:
1: Remove existing media and underdrains in filter No.3
and Filter N0.4-2 Filters in the amount of $26,140.00
2: Sandblasting and painting interior of Filter N0.3
and Filter No. 4 - 1 ea in the amount of $14,001.00
3: Replacement of filter media underdrains in Filter N0.3
and Filter No. 4 - 2 Filters in the amount of $22,000
4: Replacement of Fre-Flo 111 Filter underdrain blocks
30 ea in the amount of $4,500.00
5: Consideration for indemnification under SEC-6.13.0
1 ea in the amount of $25.00
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon adoption.

BID SCHEDULE
Schedule of prices for construction of Water Treatment Plant Improvements -
Filter Rehabilitation in accordance with the Contract Documents. Payment for
various items of the Bid Sheets, as further specified herein, shall include
all compensation to be received by the CONTRACTOR for furnishing all tools,
equipment, supplies, and manufactured articles, and for all labor,
operations, and incidentals appurtenant to the items of work being described,
as necessary to complete the various items of the WORK all in accordance with
the requirements of the Contract Documents, including all appurtenances
thereto, and including all costs of compliance with the regulations of public
agencies having jurisdiction, including Safety and Health Requirements of the
Occupational Safety and health Administration of the U.S. Department of Labor
(OSHA). No separate payment will be made for any item that is not
specifically set forth in the Bid Schedule, and all costs therefor shall be
included in the prices named in the Bid Schedule for the various appurtenant
items of work.
