RESOLUTION R--�86- c,��
A RESOLUTION REJECTING THE GRANT FOR THE
SLUDGE DEWATERING AND COMPOSTING; PROJECT #
84-7 AUTHORIZING THE REFUND OF ANY GRANT FUNDS
RECEIVED BY THE CITY FOR THIS PROJECT;
REPEALING RESOLUTION R-85-348 AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIY DATE,
WHEREAS, the City Council had approved the construction
of the Sludge Dewatering and Composting Project (# 84-7)
service area; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined upon the
recommendation of the Utilities Engineer that the
construction project is no longer desirable to be implemented
and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
,SECTION 1: The City Manager, as the authorized grant
representative of the City is hereby authorized and directed
to notify the Florida Department of Environmental Regulation
(DER) that the grant for the Sludge Dewatering and Composting
(Project 84--7) is hereby rejected by the City.
SECT ON_2: The City Council extends its appreciation to
DER officials and staff for their processing and awarding of
this grant which is being rejected so that the funds can be
better put to use by another grant applicant.
SECTION 3: The following resolution is hereby repealed:
Resolution R-85-348
SECTION 4._ This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon passage.
