CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-86-316
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FINAL MILLAGE RATE
FOR THE CITY OF TAMARAC FOR FISCAL YEAR
1986/87 AT 3.25 MILLS ($3.25 PER ONE THOUSAND
DOLLARS ($1,000.00) ASSESSED VALUATION)
ANNOUNCING PERCENT BY WHICH MILLAGE RATE TO
BE LEVIED EXCEEDS THE ROLLED BACK RATE
(PERCENTAGE INCREASE IN PROPERTY TAXES); AND
RjjQVIDING AN EFFECTIYE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Broward County Property Appraiser certified
pursuant to Florida Statutes the assessed value to the City
of Tamarac on July 1, 1986;
WHEREAS, on July 25, 1986 (within 30 days of certifi-
cation of value by the Property Appraiser), as amended on
August 11, 1986, the City of Tamarac advised the Property
Appraiser of its proposed aggregate millage rate, of its
rolled back rate computed pursuant to Florida Statutes, of
the date, time and place at which a public hearing would be
held to consider the proposed millage rate and the tentative
budget; and
WHEREAS, the Property Appraiser utilized this informa-
tion in preparing the Notice of the Proposed Property Taxes
Pursuant to Florida Statutes; and
WHEREAS, the Property Appraiser mailed this Notice not
later than 50 days after certification of value pursuant to
Florida Statutes; and
WHEREAS, on September 8, 1986, at 6:00 P.M., the City
of Tamarac conducted a first public hearing on the proposed
aggregate millage rate, and adopted Resolution 86-284 setting
a proposed final millage rate of 3.35 mills for Fiscal Year
1986/87.
WHEREAS, on September 23, 1986, at 6:00 P.M., the City
of Tamarac conducted a final public hearing on the budget and
taxes for Fiscal Year 1986/87, and approved a final millage
rate of 3.25 mills ($3.25 pe'r one thousand dollars
($1,000.00) assessed valuation).

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the foregoing recitations of fact are
true and correct.
SECTION 2: That the final millage rate for the City of
Tamarac for Fiscal Year 1986/87 is hereby approved at 3.25
mills or $3.25 per one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) assessed
valuation.
SECTION 3: That the percentage increase in property
taxes for the City of Tamarac for fiscal year 1986/87 is
19.0 percent.
SECTION 4: That the public hearings for the adoption
of the 1986/87 Fiscal Year Millage Rate and Budget have been
held pursuant to all prerequisites of Florida Statutes and
the City Charter.
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective
upon adoption.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 23rd day of September,
1986.
