CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-86-,,3Yj
A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING OCTOBER, 1986 AS
UNITED WAY MONTH; URGING ALL CITIZENS IN THE
CITY OF TAMARAC TO STRONGLY SUPPORT THE
UNITED WAY PROGRAM; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE, _
WHEREAS, the United Way of Broward County, through its
supported agencies provides much needed human care services
and touches the lives of one in every three families in this
community, and
WHEREAS, the residents of the City of Tamarac are
cognizant of the many contributions made for their benefit by
the United Way, and
WHEREAS, the month of October, 1986 has been set aside
as a special month of recognition to pay tribute to the
United Way and its 57 sponsored agencies, while promoting
community spirit throughout Broward County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
ECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Tamarac
hereby designates October, 1986 as United Way Month to create
awareness for the United Way and its 57 agencies in Broward
County, and
5ECTIQj_2: That the City Council of the City of Tamarac
strongly encourage all citizens to support the United Way
through their personal contributions, voluntary payroll
deductions at work, and volunteer service in their community.
,9ECTION 3.: This Resolution shall become effective

immediately upon its passage.
