PERTAINING TO THE CITY HALL PROJECT; AND PROVIDI_G AN EFFECT_IYE D F. _ BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC: SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Tamarac hereby approves Amendment #1 between the City of Tamarac and Miller & Meier & Associates Architects & Planners, Inc., pertaining to the City Hall project, attached hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit "A"; and SECTION 2: That the appropriate City Officials are hereby authorized to execute said Amendment. =T1QN _3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage. W I T N E S S E T H: WHEREAS, CITY and ARCHITECT entered into an agreement on the 28th day of September, 1983 pertaining to the City Hall project, and, WHEREAS, CITY and Architect are desirous of amending said agreement in order for the Architect to provide addi- tional services pertaining to interior design of the new City Hall. NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants contained herein, the parties agree as follows: 1. That ARCHITECT shall perform all services desig- nated in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and made a • part hereof. 2. In consideration of the additional services per- formed by ARCHITECT, pursuant to Exhibit "A", the CITY shall pay to ARCHITECT the sum of Twenty Nine Thousand Dollars ($29,000). Said payment shall be on a monthly basis employing the same procedures set forth in the original Contract. 3. Interview Department Directors and assess personnel equipment and support needs. C. Provide inventory of existing furnishings and equipment including determination of reusability of each item. 40 2. Space Planning: A. Design furnishings and equipment, including layouts. B. Identify all furnishings and equipment as required. C. Meetings with Department Directors to review and sign off furniture/ equipment plan layouts- D." Final acceptance by the City's representative/construction manager. 3. Design Development & qqMletion of Final Documents: A. Provide survey of case goods, seating, interior landscaping, including storage and filing system. S. Develop color schemes for the interior of the building finishes and furniture finishes including upholstery. (Note: Material manufacturers for the interior of the building have already been specified by the Architect). C. Presentation of design concepts including furniture which should be implemented on presentation board. D. Determination of new and existing furnishings and identify as such on furnishings and equipment plans. E. Submit detailed cost estimates of all interior design products including free standing furnishings, landscaping system, window treatments, building/desk accessories, signs and graphics, artwork, free standing `plants, and refurbishing of existing furniture to be reused (if any). F. Final review and approval by City's representative/construction manager. 4. -Final Documents: A. Final preparation of bid documents including contract and specifications for all items with separate contracts, if necessary. B. Assist in bid submittals review and make recommendations if required. C. Assist in the scheduling of all orders. 5. Installation Coordination: A. Coordinate schedules and procedures for,the installation of furniture equipment, ca munications, window treatments, plants, signs and graphics, artwork, accessories and other finishes. B. Provide periodic inspections to the site and supervise installations. • C. Prepare punchlist and follow-up with each contractor/supplier. EXHIBIT "A"
