RESOLUTION R--86-.l1r
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC CONCURRING WITH THE POSI-
TION OF THE BROWARD COUNTY COMMISSION RE-
GARDING ELIMINATION OF VENDORS OPERATING
WITHIN ANY PORTION OF THE PUBLIC RIGHTS-

WHEREAS, the Broward County Commission recently passed a
resolution which determined that sales from temporary wayside
stands, median areas of the public rights--of--way, and other
portions of the public rights -of -way create dangerous and
hazardous conditions for the traveling public, as well as for
the individuals conducting such sales; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac is
aware of the recent proliferation within Broward County of
the sale of various types of merchandise by vendors from the
median strip and other portions of public rights--of-way; and
WHEREAS, the City Council concurs with the position of
the Broward County Commission regarding elimination of
vendors operating within any portion of the public rights -of
way;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
1. That the City Council finds and determines that
sales from temporary wayside stands, median areas
of the public rights -of -way, and other portions of
the public rights -of -way create dangerous and
hazardous conditions for the traveling public.
2. That the City Council concurs with the position of
the Broward County Commission regarding elimination
of vendors operating within any portion of the
public rights -of -way.
3. That a copy of this Resolution be immediately
delivered to the Broward County Commission.
