CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-86- 9 /
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL
ELECTION FOR MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL DISTRICTS
2 AND 4• AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the General Election was held on March 11,
1986, wherein the Electorate of the City of Tamarac was to
choose one candidate for the Office of Mayor; one (1) candi-
date for the Office of Council Representative from District
2, and one (1) candidate for the Office of Council
Representative from District 4; and
WHEREAS, the Broward County Canvassing Board has can-
vassed the results of the machine voting and the absentee
ballots, and has certified such results to the City Clerk of
the City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reviewed the certification
from the County Canvassing Board, and has presented her
findings to the City Council for a formal Certification and
Declaration of the Results.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTIQN 1: The following are the Certified Results of
the votes received by candidate seeking the Office of Mayor
at the General Election held March 11, 1986:
Bernard Hart 6442
Philip B. Kravitz 4145
and, Bernard Hart, having received the highest number of
votes cast, is, therefore, declared to have been elected as
Mayor for a term of two (2) years.
SECTION 2: The following are the Certified Results of
the votes received by candidates seeking the Office of
Council Representative from District 2, at the General
Election held March 11, 1986:
Jack Stelzer 6046
Isaac Feldman 4168

and, Jack Stelzer, having received the highest number of
votes cast, is, therefore, declared to have been elected as
Council Representative for District 2 of the City of Tamarac
for a term of two (2) years.
SECTION 3: The following are the Certified Results of
the votes received by candidates seeking the Office of
Council Representative from District 4, at the General
Election held March 11, 1986:
Sydney M. Stein 5285
Ron Catronio 1269
Barry S. Eden 3756
and, Sydney M. 9tein, having received the highest number of
votes cast, is, therefore, declared to have been elected as
Council Representative from District 4 for a term of two (2)
years.
SECTION 4: That Bernard Hart, Jack Stelzer and
Sydney M. Stein shall take office in accordance with the
provisions of Section 2-4 of the Code of Ordinances.
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon adoption.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 18th day of March, 1986.
