R - 84- F 7 A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL ELECTION FOR MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL DISTRICTS 1, 2 AND 4. WHEREAS, the General Election was held on March 13, 1984, wherein the Electorate of the City of Tamarac was to choose one candidate for the Office of Mayor; one (1) candidate for the Office of Council Representative from District 1, one (1) candidate for the office of Council Representative from District 2. and one (1) candidate for the office of Council Representative from District 4; and WHEREAS, The County Canvassing Board has canvassed the results of the machine voting and the absentee ballots, and has certified such results to the City Clerk of the City of Tamarac; and WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reviewed the certification from the County Canvassing Board, and has presented her findings to the City Council for a formal Certification and Declaration of the Results. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: The following are the Certified Results of the votes received by candidates seeking the office of Mayor at the General Election held March 13, 1984: Walter W. Falck 6221 Philip B. Kravitz 7541 and Philip B. Kravitz having received the highest number of votes cast is there- fore declared to have been elected as Mayor for a term of two (2) years. SECTION 2: The following are the Certified Results of the votes received by candidates seeking the office of Council Representative from District 1, at the General Election held March 13, 1984: John J. Dunne 5934 Marjorie E. Kelch 5778 and John J. Dunne having received the highest number of votes cast is therefore declared to have been elected as Council Representative for District 1 of the City of Tamarac for a term of one year. SECTION 3: The following are the Certified Results of the votes received by candidates seeking the Office of Council Representative from District 2, at the General Election held March 13, 1984: Helen Massaro 6397 Raymond J. Munitz 6478 Temp. Reso. #3066 1 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 and Raymond J. Munitz, having received the highest number of votes cast, is therefore declared to have been elected as Council Representative from District 2, for a term of two years. SECTION 4: That Sydney M. Stein being the only candidate wlo qualified for the office of Council District 4 is declared to have been elected as Council Representative for District 4 of the City of Tamarac for a term of two (2) years. SECTION 5: That Philip B. Kravitz, John J. Dunne, Raymond J. Munitz and Sydney M. Stein shall take office in accordance with the provisions of Section 2-4 of the Code of Ordinances.
