CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-84-q/q
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PROCUREMENT
OF LADDER SAFETY DEVICES FOR UTILITIES
WEST; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, bids to furnish ladder safety devices were advertised
in the Fort Lauderdale News on November 24 and December 1984; and
WHEREAS, after receiving no bids under Bid No.=84-32, the City
Council authorized negotiation with vendors to furnish these devices;
and
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has made a recommendation
for the procurement of these devices which the City Council wishes to
act upon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1:. That the quote of D B Industries, Inc., in the
amount of $2,085.50, plus freight, for the procurement of ladder
safety devices, is hereby accepted and approved.
SECTION 2: This resolution shall become effective upon adoption.

Subject: Ladder Safety Devices

Will you please agendize for City Council action
authorization to purchase materials required for
ladder safety devices from the lowest priced
supplier, D B Industries, Inc, in the amount of
$2,085.50 plus freight.
Council previously authorized staff to negotiate
prices for furnishing and installing ladder safety
devices because no one responded to our advertise-
ment for bids. We are currently negotiating with
local installers and expect to have a recommenda-
tion for Council action before the above noted
equipment is delivered. The monies for this
purchase should be charged to account No. 429-
363-533-658.
We recommend that Council authorize purchase of
these ladder safety devices from D B Industries, Inc.
