CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO: -3
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC AMENDDING A
SPECIAL EXCEPTION TO EXTEND THE PERMIT FOR AN
ATHLETIC CLUB TO OPERATE IN A B-6 ZONING DISTRICT
AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF MCNAB ROAD AMID 80TH
AVENUE; PROVIDING FOR CONDITIONS TO THE OPERATION
OF THE ATHLETIC CLUB; PROVIDING FOR ADDITIONAL
PARKING AND PROVIDING FOR A CANCELLATION OF THE
SPECIAL EXCEPTION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council on April 8, 1981 granted a Special
Exception to permit the Jack La Lanne/The Exercise Room to occupy space at
Woodmont Plaza; and
WHEREAS, in 1982 the Special Exception was extended to one (1)
additional bay to the South of the prior permitted Exception; and
WHEREAS, the applicant has petitioned the City Council fora
further bay to the South which is #7915; and
WHEREAS, this City Council has reviewed the petition and heard
the proposals of the applicant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the Special Exception provided by Resolution
#81-70 for a Special Exception to permit an Athletic Club in a B-6 zoning
district is hereby extended to include the bays #7921 and #7915.
SECTION 2: The extension of the permit to include bay #7915 is
conditioned upon the following:
a) The applicant will regrade an area on a vacant lot
located adjacent to the building on the East to permit an additional thirty (30)
parking spaces.

b) Wheel stops will be installed locating the thirty
(30) parking spaces.
c) Signs permitted by the City's Sign Ordinance will be
posted locating the new parking area.
d) Signs re8tri:cting� ,; patron parking to * this new
parking area will be posted inside the permitted facility.
e) Applicant shall install two (2) wall mounted lights
facing.the new parking area to provide illumination.
f) Applicant shall submit to the Chief Building Official
of the City a drawing or sketch accurately locating the temporary parking area.
g) If applicant fails to secure an agreement within_
IR months will All Saints Lutheran Church for the permanent use as
parking, applicant will vacate bay #7915.
SECTION 3: That this Resolution will immediately take effect
upon adoption by the City Council.
PASSED, ADOP111D AND APPROVED this day of 1984.
