CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO.R-84-_
A RESOLUTION URGING THE BROWARD COUNTY COM-
MISSION TO ESTABLISH A POSITION OF CONSUMER
ADVOCATE FOR THE CITIZENS OF BROWARD COUNTY;
AND PROVIDING.AN. DATE,
WHEREAS, the citizens of Broward County are in need of a
Consumer Advocate to provide an effective voice for the
interests of the consumer public; and
WHEREAS, Consumer Advocates have been very effective in
working for the interests of consumers in other counties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA.
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Tamarac
urges the Broward County Commission to appoint a Consumer
Advocate to represent the interests of the consumer public in
Broward County.
SECTION.2: That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to send a copy of this Resolution to each'member of
the Broward County Board of Commissioners and to
Floyd Johnson, the County Administrator.
SECTION 3: That this Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its passage.
