1 ITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
2 RESOLUTION NO. R-84- 3 5 7
3 A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE SPECIAL
REFERENDUM VOTING ON AMENDMENT TO SECTION 8.03(b)
4 OF THE CITY CHARTER; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
5 WHEREAS, a Special Referendum Election was held on November 6, 1984,
a
wherein the electorate was asked to vote on an amendment to Section 8.03(b) of the
7 Charter of the City of Tamarac; and
8 WHEREAS, the County Canvassing Board has canvassed the results of the
9 machine voting and absentee ballots and has certified such results to the City
10 Clerk of the City of Tamarac; and
11 WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reviewed the certification from the County
12 Canvassing Board and has presented their findings to the City Council for a formal
13 certification and Declaration of the results.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
15 SECTION 1: That the following is hereby certified and declared as the
16 official results of the public vote at the Special Referendum Election of November
17 6, 1984, for the proposed Charter Amendment: .
18 Amendment to Section 8.03(b) of the City Charter

No SECTION 2: That the amendment, having received approval of a majority
21 of the voters voting on the amendment, does become a part of the existing City
22 Charter of the City of Tamarac, which was adopted at the General Election held on
23 March 9, 1976, and subsequently amended.
24 SECTION 3• This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
