A RESOLUTION URGING THE BROWARD COUNTY BOARD
OF ODUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO DIRECT THAT A
TRAFFIC SIGiAL BE INSTALLS AT THE INTERSECTION
OF NORTHWEST 571H STREET AND PINE ISLAND ROAD
(NORTHWEST 88TH AVENUE), TAMARAC; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the intersection of Northwest 57th Street and Pine
Island Road (Northwest 88th Avenue), Tamarac, (hereinafter called "the inter-
section") is located in a much traveled and growing area of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, the City has attempted for several years to prevail
upon the appropriate authorities to install a traffic signal at "the inter-
section" without results; and
WHEREAS, "the intersection" remains dangerous and uncontrolled.
NO1W, ARE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the Tamarac City Council urges the Broward
County Board of County Commissioners to cause the necessary study and planning
be undergone at "the intersection" and install traffic signals at "the inter-
section" as soon as possible, at no cost to the City of Tamarac.
SECTION 2: That the City Staff is directed to cooperate with
the Braward County Staff and Commissioners to expedite the planning and in-
stallation of traffic signals at "the intersection" at no cost to the City.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk is directed to send copies of
this Resolution to the Broward County Board of County Commissioners and the
County Administrator.
SECTION 4: That this Resolution shall became effective

immediately upon its passage.
