RESOLUTION NO. R-84-�-�
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A LEASE
AGREEMENT FOR FIRE STATION #2 WITH MEDICS
AMBULANCE SERVICE INC.; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the appropriate officials are authorized to execute a
lease agreement for Fire Station #2 with Medics Ambulance Service Inc., a copy
of said agreement being attached hereto as Exhibit A.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.

LEASE AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this
day of BLS, 1984, by and between:
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, a municipal corporation
of Florida, hereinafter referred to as "CITY";
and
MEDICS AMBULANCE SERVICE, INC., a Florida
corporation herein after referred to as
"Medics".

WHEREAS, Medics was granted an exclusive franchise by
the Broward County Commission for emergency ambulance service
in the district that includes Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, the Tamarac Fire Department has provided room
for Medics Ambulance to store an ambulance and shelter its
personnel in Fire Station #2 since April 1, 1984; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved this lease agreement
at its regular meeting on October 24, 1984;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants
and agreements hereinafter set forth, and other good and
valuable considerations the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged, the parties do hereby agree as follows:

1. The CITY has provided and will provide the following
at its Fire Station #2 (4801 West Commercial Boulevard,
Tamarac, Florida):
(a) Storage for an ambulance with space and cots
for Medics' personnel;
(b) Area for an office;
(c) Full use of the administrative quarters.
2. Medics agrees to the following:
(a) To supply all phone equipment for its own use
at Fire Station #2.
(b) To participate in the maintenance of the area
provided by the CITY in Fire Station #2.
(c) Pay rent in the amount of $450 per month for
the period in which the CITY has provided or
will provide the considerations enumerated in
Section 1 of this Agreement. Rent is payable
in advance on the first day of each month.
3. The term of this agreement shall be from month to
month.
4. Nothing in this agreement is intended to preclude
the City from its continued use of Fire Station #2 along with
Medics.

5. Termination of this agreement by either party may be
made, without cause, upon the giving of 30 days written no-
tice, hand delivered or delivery by Certified mail to the
other party's legal address as follows:
