CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R- ?f/ 3,p
A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE CITY MANAGER AS
THE AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE FOR CONTACT WITH
AND TO SIGN APPLICATIONS TO THE FLORIDA DEPART-
MENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATIONS ON BEHALF OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC.
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac has in the past been represented in
correspondence of an official nature pertaining to Wastewater Construc-
tion Grants and the 201 Program by the representative of the Broward
County Board of County Commissioners to the Florida Department of
Environmental Regulations (DER), and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac, Florida, desires
to designate the City Manager to be Tamarac's authorized representative
with the DER in matters pertaining to the City of Tamarac.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC,
FLORIDA:
SECTION I: That the City Manager is hereby designated by the
City Council as the authorized representative for the City of Tamarac
with the Florida Department of Environmental Regulations in matters
pertaining to the City of Tamarac, generally, and its 201 Plan and
application for construction grants, specifically.
SECTION 2: The City Manager is directed to bring to the City
Council all matters between the City and the DER, concerning major
policy decisions or commitment of major fiscal impact upon the City,
relating to Tamarac's 201 program and applications for construction
grants.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk is hereby authorized to furnish
certified copies of this resolution to the Chairperson of the Broward
County Commission and Van R. Hoofnagle, P.E., Florida Department of
Environmental Regulations, Bureau of Wastewater Management and Grants.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately
upon its adoption.
