A RESOLUTION AWARDING A BID FOR CITY OF TAMARAC
INSURANCE REQUESTS BUSINESS AUTO, WORKER'S
COMPENSATION, COMPREHENSIVE GENERAL LIABILITY,
PROPERTY, BOILER AND MACHINERY, AND ACCIDENTAL
DEATH AND DISMEMBERMENT; BID #84-22; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council authorized the Administration to go to.bid at
its meeting on July 25, 1984; and
WHEREAS, bids were advertised in the Fort Lauderdale News, a newspaper of
general circulation in BrowardCounty on August 14 and August 21, 1984; and
WHEREAS, bids were opened on September 18, 1984.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That bids are hereby awarded to the following insurance
carriers for the coverages enumerated for a minimum contract period of 10/l/84 to
10/1/85. The contract periods shall automatically be extended for up to two one (1)
year periods unless either party gives notice to the other of its intention to
cancel the contract. Extensions shall be at a price quoted to the City at least
ninety (90) days prior to the annual expiration of the policy. Failure to submit
the proposed quotation for the next year by this date shall be evidence that the
carrier's quotation is the same as for the previous year.
(1) Business Auto - Admiral Insurance with a premium of $51,340.00.
(2) Workers' Compensation - Adjustco, Inc., with a premium of $166,417.00.
(3) Comprehensive General Liability and Property Insurance - Admiral
Insurance with a premium.of $47,958.00.
(4) Boiler and Machinery - Cooke Insurance, Inc., with a premium of
$5,724.00.
(5) Accidental Death and Dismemberment - Arthur J. Gallagher Insurance,
with a premium of $714.00.
