CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. S`-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC AUTHORIZING THE
CITY ATTORNEY'S OFFICE TO FILE A STATUICRY
CONDEMNATION PROCEEDING AGAINST WOODMONT CORPORATION
TO SECURE A PERMA = EASEMENT FOR THE DISPOSAL OF
TREATED WATER ON THE WOODMONT GOLF COURSES; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac finds that it is
imperative to the health, welfare and safety of its citizens of the City to
provide efficient disposal of treated wastewater; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is committed to the disposal of treated
water by spray irrigation on golf courses within the City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative that the easement for spray irrigation
on golf courses in Tamarac be secured at the earliest possible time in order
to be eligible for federal/state grants and to continue to be eligible for a
variance from EQCB rules with respect to wastewater disposal; and
WHEREAS, it has become clear that because of existing agreements,
litigation and a potential sale that there is no entity extant which could
grant an easement to the City with respect to the Woodmont Golf Course.
NOW, THEREEDRE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The Council acknowledges that all the representations
above are true and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Attorney's office is authorized to do whatever
is necessary to secure the perpetual easements for the disposal of treated
wastewater on the Woodmont Golf Course including the filing of a condemnation

action in the Circuit Court of Broward County, Florida.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
adoption.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this day of 1984.
