A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A GOLF FEASIBILITY
00MMITTEE AS A TEMPORARY COMMITTEE; PROVIDING
MR MEMBERSHIP AND DUTIES; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.

WHEREAS, the City Council is interested in determiriing the
-feasibility of acquiring a golf course to be owned by the City of Tamarac and
be operated for the public; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to establish a temporary
committee for fact-finding purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY CDUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the City Council hereby creates a Golf
Feasibility Committee made up of five (5) regular members. Each Council
Member (including the Mayor) shall appoint one (1) regular member from his
district to the ccmittee. The appointment shall be made in writing and
submitted to the City Clerk. Each regular member shall be a registered voter
of the City of Tamarac. The regular members shall elect a chairman from
amongst themselves.
SECTION 2: In addition to regular members, the Mayor may
appoint a City Council Member as a Liaison to the committee.
SECTION 3: The purpose of this committee is to determine the
feasibility of the acquisition of a golf course by the City of Tamarac. It
shall meet with public officials, developers, private landowners, Tamarac
residents or other parties it deems appropriate. As appointees of the City
Council, it shall comply with the provisions of the Florida Sunshine Law. The
committee may apply to the City Council for necessary expenses. The members
shall serve without compensation.

SECTION 4: Members shall serve at the pleasure of Council
for a term which shall expire December 31, 1984. This committee is authorized
only until December 31, 1984 unless authorization is extended by Resolution
of the City Council.
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately
upon adoption.
