CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO:
A RESOLUTION PURSUANT TO SECTION 2-9.1 OF
THE CITY CODE, APPROVING THE BID OF
$114,000.00 FROM THE FLORIDA POWER AND
LIGHT COMPANY FOR THE PURCHASE AND SALE OF
A CERTAIN 2.89 ACRE PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED
ON THE NORTH SIDE OF SOUTHGATE BOULEVARD
IN THE CITY OF TAMARAC; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Florida Power and Light Company desires to purchase
a certain 2.89 acre parcel of City owned land to be used for the public
purpose of constructing and maintaining an electrical substation; and
WHEREAS, a public auction was held on May 1, 1984, properly
noticed and in full conformance with Section 2-9.1 of the City Code; and
WHEREAS, Florida Power and Light Company offered the highest
and only bid of $114,000.00 for the purchase of said 2.89 acres of property
and has entered into an agreement for purchase and sale of said property.
NOW, SORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the aforementioned preambles are true and
correct.
SECTION 2: That the City Council hereby approves and accepts
the bid of $114,000.00 offered by Florida Power and Light Company for the
purchase of a certain 2.89 acre parcel of land located on the North side of
Southgate Boulevard, commencing 1200 feet East of Northwest 88th Avenue,
continuing 700 feet East and 180 feet North from Southgate Boulevard indicated
as Parcel "B" on the attached Exhibit "A".
SECTION 3: That this approval is subject to the terms and
conditions set out in written agreements between the City and Florida Power
and Light Company.

SECTION 4: That the Finance Director is to maintain the
$114,000.00 in an escrow fund until the time of closing on the property.
SECTION 5: That this Resolution shall be effective immediately
upon adoption.
