3 A RESOLUTION GRANTING A SPECIAL USE EXCEPTION
TO ALLOW A BOOK STORE IN A B-1 ZONING DISTRICT
4 REQUESTED BY NANCY S. EWART/BOOK BOUTIQUE II,
IN TAMARAC PLAZA, 7300 WEST MCNAB ROAD, SUITE
114, PETITION #3-Z-83; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.

WHEREAS, the Code of the City of Tamarac provides for the granting of

special exception to permit a book store (new and used books) in a B-1 Zoning

District; and

WHEREAS, a Public Hearing has been held and the public has been given an

opportunity to express their views concerning the application for Special

Exception; and

WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Tamarac finds that the petition for
33
special exception would be in keeping with the public health, safety and general
34
welfare of the City of Tamarac.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:

SECTION 1: That the petition for special exception to permit a book store
(new and used books) in a 6-1 Zoning District requested by Nancy S. Ewart/Book
Boutique II, Petition #3-Z-83 at Tamarac Plaza, 7300 West McNab Road, Suite 114,
is HEREBY APPROVED.

SECTION 2: Conditions of approval

1) No pornographic materials shall be handled, displayed or sold; and

2) This Special Exception is granted for this applicant only, at this address, and
is not transferable to any other individual or location without the approval of

the City Council.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shallbecomeeffective upon adoption.
