CITY OF TAMARAC FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R- 93 -w1/
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL
ELECTION FOR CITY COUNCIL DISTRICTS 1 AND 3.
WHEREAS, the General Election was held on March 9, 1982, wherein the
Electorate of the City of Tamarac was to choose one (1) candidate for the Office
of Council Representative from District 1, and one (1) candidate for the Office
of Council Representative from District 3; and
WHEREAS, The County Canvassing Board has canvassed the results of the
machine voting and the absentee ballots, and has certified such results to the
City Clerk of the City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reviewed the certification from the County
Canvassing Board, and has presented her findings to the City Council for a formal
Certification and Declaration of the Results.
NOW, ARE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The following are the Certified Results of the votes
received by candidates seeking the Office of Council Representative from District 1,
at the General Election held March 8, 1983.
Muriel R. Davis 3,019
Philip B. Kravitz 6,734
and Philip B. Kravitz, having received the highest number of votes cast is
therefore declared to have been elected as Council Representative from District 1
for a term of two (2) years.
SECTION 2: The following are the Certified Results of the votes
received by candidates seeking the Office of Council Representative from District 3
at the General Election held. March 8, 1983.
Irving M. Disraelly 3,121
Jack Stelzer 6,539
and Jack Stelzer, having received the highest number of votes cast is therefore
declared to have been elected as Council Representative from District 3 for a term
of two (2) years.
SECTION 3: That Philip B. Kravitz and Jack Stelzer shall take office
in accordance with the provisions of Section 2-4 of the Code of Ordinances.
